The term "waterjet system" is used across distinct sub-markets for substantially different machine concepts. Cutting technology, industrial high-pressure cleaning, deburring, interior cleaning, and post-processing are therefore treated separately.

Manufacturer figures for operating pressure, flow rate, water quality, or tooling apply, in the first instance, to the specific systems described. They are not carried over to other systems or applications without a technical basis for doing so.
